By accepting these terms, you agree to use Sigillarium in accordance with the rules described below. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sigillarium application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Sigillarium ("we", "our", "us").

2. Description of Service

Sigillarium is a mobile digital vault application that allows you to:

Store and organize your digital documents locally on your device
Scan paper documents and digitize them
Apply watermarks and digital seals to your documents
Manage and protect your important files

3. Access to the App

3.1 No Account

Sigillarium requires no account. There are no credentials and no password to entrust to us. Access to your vault is protected by your device's biometrics.

You are responsible for:

The security of your device and its lock screen
All activities performed from your device
Keeping your own copies of important documents

3.2 Data Loss When Changing Device

Important: the key that encrypts your vault is generated on your device and never leaves it — that is what guarantees nobody else, including us, can read your documents. The trade-off is direct: the contents of your vault do not survive a change of device, including through a migration tool. Export important documents before switching phones.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Sigillarium only for lawful purposes. It is prohibited to:

Use the application to store or share illegal content
Attempt to circumvent security measures
Use the application for fraudulent purposes
Infringe on the rights of third parties

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Free Version

Sigillarium offers a free version with limited features.

5.2 Premium Version

The Premium subscription gives access to all features. It is managed through app stores (App Store, Google Play) and their respective terms apply.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds are subject to App Store or Google Play policies. Contact us at support@sigillarium.app for any questions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Sigillarium application, its code, design, and features are the exclusive property of Sigillarium and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your documents remain your property.

7. Limitation of Liability

Sigillarium is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law:

We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free
We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure
Our total liability cannot exceed the amount paid for the subscription

Important: Since your documents are stored locally on your device, we recommend making regular backups. Sigillarium is not responsible for the loss of local data.

8. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, and cancel your subscription from your Google Play or App Store account. As there is no account to suspend, we reserve the right to refuse service in case of violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms periodically. As we do not have your email address, we cannot notify you directly: any significant change will be published on this page and flagged in the app. Continued use of the application after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to competent French courts.
